The organized parent makes lists. It is a part of life. A parent with an autistic child, makes a lot of list and schedules. We do a lot to help make our child’s life easier to navigate. ListPlanIt.com is a site that is dedicated to lists and schedules for all occasions and activities. Do you have a party to plan? They have lists for that. Do you need to set up a daily or weekly schedule? They have schedules for that.
I like the way the site is set up. It is easy to access the lists and schedules. If you have a download membership, you can download a list or schedule and customize it for your child. If you have a printed membership, you can print out one of their pre-made lists or schedules and customize it old school.
You can also purchase an eplanner, a pdf package of lists for the area of life you need the most help in with lists and schedules. What’s the difference between an eplanner and a membership? An eplanner is just for a specific set of lists/schedules. The membership is for access to everything.
I found the lists to be very helpful. They are easy for children to follow. I would have liked them to have an extra column for pictures. The lists are also a good tool for putting together a reference book for caregivers. For example, there is a page for kid’s meal options. I know that when my son stays with my parents, they have a hard time with fixing meals for him. He is, as are many autistic children, a picky eater.
