I was sent the Rubik’s Slide to review and keep. The Rubik’s Slide is the newest, electronic version, of Rubik’s Cube. I remember when the cube first came out. I loved playing it, but once it got really mixed up, the only way I could win was to either take it apart, or peel off the stickers.
There is no cheating with this one. You have two different ways to play. You can set it to the Free Play Mode or to the Lightning Round Mode. I enjoy both. The Free Play is great if you are relaxing and playing for fun. I like the Lightning Round for when I feel like being challenged, because you are up against a time limit.
You twist, slide and shift the lights around. It takes some time to get the hang of it. At least, it took me some time. I’m still a beginner, though. It’s not as easy as you would think when you first pick it up to play. I love puzzles, and I am officially addicted to the Rubik’s Slide.
I am happy to announce that I will be giving away a Rubik’s Slide to one lucky winner. This giveaway starts today and ends September 12, 2010. You must live in the US to enter.
