The increase in free autism apps that benefit autistic children is increasing everyday. Some cost money to download, and some don’t. I’ve put together a list of some free Autism apps for iPad. Unfortunately, I don’t have an iPad. I have a Colby Android tablet, and I have not been able to find any free autism apps that can be downloaded to it.
Free Autism Apps for Children
Caught Being Good app. This free autism app is designed to reward your child when he/she is caught being good.
Uses a spinning wheel to create anticipation and excitement.
100% Customizable. Change, add or turn off rewards.
Bank accounts keep track of earned rewards for multiple children.
Change probability of any 1 reward appearing on the wheel.
Optional periodic posts to Facebook to allow friends and family to share in the success.
Is a trio of exciting matching adventures for kids with autism. We hope that our autism app will create a wave of theoretically grounded casual gaming applications that are modeled after proven therapies. Our goal is to help children with ASD more easily integrate into their communities, and more effectively engage with their family and friends.
The Social Navigator: This free app is for children with autism that are high functioning.
