Back To School Shopping For My Children at Old Navy

Back To School Shopping For My Children at Old Navy

back to school shoppingIt’s that time of year.  Back to school shopping for the kids.  I wrote on Carolina Mom Blogger about the Old Navy sale, and NC Tax Free weekend.  I’m going to take advantage of both.  Yesterday, I went through my son’s clothes and got rid of everything that was too small.  I also trashed the clothes that were showing a lot of wear.  This left him with very little for clothes to wear this year.

My daughter has enough clothes to get her started for school, but she needs a few extra pieces.  Since she has to wear a uniform to school, I need to pick up a couple of shorts and pants to get her through the school week.  I picked up a few the last time I was at Old Navy, that’s why she only needs a couple things now.

Back to School Shopping Without Autism Son

I’m not going to take my son with me shopping.  I will leave him at home with my dad.  I am going to have my daughter, my mother, and my husband with me.  It will be a long day.  My mom and my daughter are a perfect match when it comes to shopping.  My mom wants her to try everything on, and my daughter is more than happy to oblige.

After we are done at Old Navy, we will head for the mall.  There are a couple of stores there that I want to check out.  One will be Gymboree.  It’s my mom’s favorite store.  They usually have a few uniform type clothes.  I am going to look for some elastic waste pants and shorts for my son. They are hard to find for my son’s size.  He still has trouble with buttons and snaps, and I need him to be able to get his pants up and down easily at school.

Do you still have back to school shopping to do for your children?
