Are you thinking about taking a trip to the UK? Have you thought about staying in a holiday cottage? There are thousands of cottages in the UK that you can rent for a holiday, in many of the best tourist destinations, including cities, small towns and even in some of the big cities. But why should you rent a holiday cottage?
Plenty of space in your family accommodation
Staying in a holiday home for your vacation means that you and your family will have much more space than you would have if you opted to stay more standard holiday accommodation in the UK like hotels and guest houses. When the kids want to go to bed early, they can be sleeping soundly upstairs whilst you relax and make the most of your evening.
A well equipped kitchen
Most holiday cottages have a really well equipped kitchen so you can easily store groceries from the supermarket, make up baby food and feed fussy kids meals at times that suit them. There is nothing worse than having to wait for hotel breakfast to open when the kids are hungry! In a holiday cottage you can eat your own food at a time that suits you.
Your very own British garden
One of the best things about the UK is the lush green countryside! Make the most of this by staying in accommodation that has its own little piece of UK loveliness right out in the back yard. The children can run around and you can sit out. Light up the barbeque and enjoy a meal out in the sunshine in your English garden. What could be better?
Provide family friendly equipment like high chairs and cots
We all know how much stuff you need with you when you go on holiday with children. Most self catering cottages will provide family essentials like cots, highchairs, stair gates and sometimes even added extras like DVD’s and toys. Check when booking but you could save yourself loads of room in your suitcase!

With all of my world traveling this is one thing that I’ve never done (cottage in the UK). We’re thinking of spending the entire summer in Europe next year and this might be a nice addition

I like staying in holiday cottages because it makes me feel relax.I can cook my own meal and have a small garden outside. Many hotels don’t have a kitchen. It’s spacious and it can accommodate us all even if I’ll bring my three kids.
Thanks for sharing!
