Take a roast chicken carcass and cook it off for the broth.
It takes literraly 20 minutes
If you don’t have your own, just use a large box of chicken broth like Swansons.
In a large pot on the stove, you take about 4 baking potatoes, well scrubbed
Cut them in half, then slice them about 1/4 inch thin(don’t peel)
Dice up about 1/2 an onion, (sweet yellows work best)
Throw those into the pot with the broth and about 6 cups of water
Add in about 2 cloves of freshly minced garlic, or 1 tbls of freeze dried minced garlic
Let that simmer until onions and potatoes are tender
In meantime (back at the ranch!)
In skillet, throw about 3 links of Johnsonville sweet italian sausage, and 3-4 of hot italian sausage in a skillet (Pull them out of their casings first) and scramble that up .. drain off the fat
Once the meat and the potatoes are done:
Toss the meat into the pot of potatoes, add about 8 pieces of crisply fried and crumbled bacon (or be lazy and use bacon pieces from a package), and let that simmer another 10 minutes tops,
Chop up some kale, and throw in at last minute
Then add 1 pint of heavy cream, stir together and turn heat to low and serve
Add salt and pepper to taste as well
